There have been a few beautiful frosty morning recently and there have been some beautiful colours to take inspiration from for a winter wedding. If you are like me, and are a bit biased toward the luscious colours that will come in spring and summer, then you could easily dismiss winter colours as being a bit dismal, but look closely at the details in nature and you will find some gentle tones that will add a subtle touch of colour to your winter wedding accessories, and bring a truly seasonal touch to your winter wedding.

A wedding colour palette for winter by Judith Brown Bridal

There are beautiful shades of soft blues and greys in the sunshine reflected off the snow, bronze and golden tones from the dried wildflowers, like the moorland heather shown in the photo, which add warmth to the palette. The frost on seedheads provide inspiration for a little sparkle, perhaps using crystal beads with an aurora borealis finish to reflect the light.

You could choose to add these colours to silver accessories as pictured here in my Belaflore hairvine and Mirabella earrings, this piece would work equally well made with golden wire or even bronze coloured wire. Read more about customising or commissioning a bespoke piece here.

Alternatively,  you could use this colour palette for the whole of your wedding – with bridesmaids in a beautiful shade of soft grey or blue, and using these colour accents in your stationery and table decorations for example. In which case you might decide that accessories in one colour might be the thing for example my Ornella headband in gold or silver, or my Ornella hairvine, again in gold or silver.
