How to custom design your bridal accessories with me

You’ve had a look through my wedding accessories and jewellery, and are drawn to the intricacy and delicacy of my designs, but perhaps you’d like something  created just for you? You might be looking for a tweak in one of my designs, say changing the colours to match your theme, or perhaps you are looking at one of my hair combs, but a headpiece is what you are looking for, or perhaps it will be a completely new, unique design! This is where commissioning me to make a bespoke wedding accessory comes in.

Here’s how to do it in five easy steps

1. Gather together the inspiration that you already have, for example, pictures of your dress, your wedding colour palette, and any ideas you have about your hair. Look through my designs and pick out a few that really speak to you. You may already have a wedding inspiration Pinterest board*, that will also be useful in the process.

2. Have a think about your budget and when you need your accessory before the wedding, read advice about this in the costs and timescales section on the bespoke page on my website.

3. Make an appointment for a one to one, free, no obligation consultation. This could be in my studio in Staffordshire, where you can view and try my wedding accessories in person, or it could be arranged remotely via Zoom or another app. During your consultation we’ll look through your inspiration and discuss ideas and I’ll help you to narrow down what you are looking for. I’ll ask questions, make notes and may be rough sketches of ideas too. I have a vast collection of beads and wires and we can explore the options that will work for your design.

5. I will be able to give you a rough idea of costs at the consultation, these will be estimates. After our consultation I’ll review everything that we’ve discussed and get back to you with a no obligation quote within a week. Once you are happy with your design there’ll be a non refundable deposit of 50% before I can start making, with the balance due before delivery or collection. Once work is started I’ll keep you up to date with progress so you’ll be able to see your bespoke wedding accessory or custom bridal jewellery coming together.

I love working with brides and enjoy sharing in the excitement of your big day. So if you are feeling excited and inspired at the prospect of working together to create something special for your wedding day get in touch to make an appointment, I can’t wait to hear all about your ideas!

*Pinterest is a fantastic tool for inspiration and communicating the style that you like, but do bear in mind that any good designer won’t copy the work of another designer. I want to use my creative skills and experience to make something beautiful. Just. For. You.
